　　Whose nest is in a watered shoot;

　　Whose boughs are bent with thickset fruit;

　　My heart is like a rainbow shell

　　That paddles in a halcyon sea;

　　My heart is gladder than all these

　　Because my love is coming to me。

　　在柔潤的技條上筑著巢;

　　我的心像棵蘋果樹

　　被累累的碩果壓彎了腰;

　　我的心像個虹彩的貝殼

　　在平靜的海上輕輕蕩漾;

　　我的心比這些還更歡暢

　　因為我的愛情已經來到。

　　Raise me a dais of silk and down;

　　Hang it with vair and purple dyes;

　　Carve it with doves and pomegranates

　　And peacocks with a hundred eyes;

　　Work it in gold and silver grapes，

　　In leaves and silver fleurs-de-lys;

　　Because the birthday of my life is coming，

　　為我造一座絲絨的講壇

　　用金色和紫色顏料涂染;

　　在上面雕刻鴿子和石榴

　　還有孔雀長著一百只眼;

　　再用金銀葡萄把它妝扮

　　樹葉和鷲尾草銀光閃閃;

　　因為我的生日已經來臨，

　　因為我的愛情已經來到。
